Intuition

There seems to be a lot that can be said for something like our "gut instinct" or as the Germans say "the voice way deep down in the back of your head that you don't listen to." This feeling of knowing can be described as intuition. This sort of phenomenon is often attributed to the "unconscious" mind. It is thought that what is unconscious in our mind (and what it is capable of) is much more expansive than what is in our conscious awareness. Therefore, the idea is our intuition is our unconscious mind trying to communicate with our conscious awareness
