Meeting others needs

If we struggle with forming relationships, perhaps we need to take a step back and examine our approach. It seems as though we are taught that we need to look out for ourselves. The commercials we see and rhetoric we hear is every person out for themselves. In this mindset, we must do all that we can to get ahead. But what if we were to meet the needs of others. Then we would not be alone, and we would be ahead because most likely the others would at the very least be inclined to come back, if not help us with our needs.
