How do stories help us to behave correctly?
It’s interesting to think about stories, with specific regard to mythological compendiums, which were at one-time society’s only way to store data. Mythology told us how to function within a given structure based on what worked in the past. It can tell us how to behave without explicitly stating the games or the rules, but delineating them implicitly. Stories are transmissions of social structures and individual approaches that historically have functioned properly.
