Mile-High City

Time in Denver is always time well spent. The goal was to hike a 14er (a 14,000 ft mountain). However, as has been the case the past few attempts, weather didn't cooperate. Colorado is known for it's severe thunderstorms. They can rush in from blue skies in as few as 15 minutes. When it takes 6-12 hours to descend one of these high, treeless peaks, airing on the side of caution could save your life. So instead of an epic summit, the time here turned into a series of disperate activities that proved to be fun with friends.
