Expectations: Privelege
It seems that now more than ever, people think that they deserve something for nothing. We have all but lost sight of the age-old work ethic. Working in a diligent and dedicated manner toward a goal that provides struggle is an essential facet of humankind. We have been designed to be problem-solving machines. When we get things handed to us, we do not appreciate them, because we did not have to struggle for their gain. When we are handed things, it makes us complacent, flaccid, weak, and depressed. Having material plenty is necessary, but struggling to gain those treasures makes the reward exponentially more significant and more satisfying.
