Meeting the needs of others
It seems to me that we are raised with the concept of looking out for ourselves. However, once we realize that leaders look out for their team or tribe first, we might want to reconsider. If we thoroughly enjoy an abundance of human interaction, we should consider meeting the needs of others before our own. If we can meet the needs of others, they will eat out of our hands. This idea may sound manipulative, but it is ingrained in the human condition. We all need to get our needs met, and we will do this one way or another (pathologically, or in a healthy way). Meeting the needs of others carefully and respectfully can be a symbiotic relationship.
