Irascible

It seems to me that people in our modern time are often irritable, or having a tendency to be quick to anger. Now Socrates makes a critical distinction here as someone who is irascible, needs not always be angry. It seems as though his point is we still can control what we let overcome us, including in our emotional sphere. As I’ve said before, this seems to require much training and effort on our part, especially if we are irritable by nature.
