Magnanimous

Being magnanimous, or forgiving in nature for perceived wrongdoing seems like a reliable way toward a life with less anger. It makes sense that this becomes easier when we realize that we are in the position of power. As Socrates mentions, we do not get angry or bitter toward those below us; we only become mad toward those who are superior to us in some way. If we can become more magnanimous, perhaps that’s the key that we need to use to ascend the competence hierarchy. After all, deep down, maybe the most generous folks are actually at the top, it’s just the lense that the people from below look up at them through is distorted.
