Practice
If we want to keep anger at bay, we must practice. We can practice coming into the present moment and letting go of whatever has heated our temper. We can also practice concealing the anger if it is already upon us. This type of practice takes a great deal of self-control. It is like learning to ride a bike. At first, it isn’t straightforward, but with time and persistence, we can become better at it. It is the mark of a feeble-minded person, according to Seneca, who is overtaken endlessly by this fiery passion.
