Confidence
The one thing that can help us to combat fear is confidence. This feeling provides us the courage to face our fears and realize that they are not what we mentally project them to be. However, we also have to be careful. When our fears are based on threats that are real and imminent, our safety can become endangered. If we are on the other end of the spectrum where we live in fear and cowardice, then it is easy for us to become hopeless. If we are lost, then we will lay down and give up. This approach does not help us to see our fears in a realistic light.
