Truth
Questioning what is, helps us to understand reality better. When we jump to conclusions, we can leverage false precepts to base our judgments. The most bitter truths are realized when we examine ourselves and the subsequent shortcomings that we have. If we follow through with this investigation, it will be difficult for us to become angry at others for their faults when we can see that we are plagued with such foibles. Seeking some semblance of truth is an essential quest in the pursuit of a moral, or better yet, virtuous life.
