From where do we understand our reality?
Our reality is fed to us through our senses. We experience the world as a point of conscious awareness that seems to be the center of all things and events. Because we have needed to be selfish to survive, we tend to look out for ourselves. It’s challenging for us to project into the reality of another. This aspect is why we get frustrated with folks when they are driving slow on the freeway. We don’t ask, why are they driving slow? Instead, we get mad that they are slowing down our commute. We are part of an extraordinarily complex net of reality that is a combination of objects, causes, and effects. It’s much more complicated than our brain can comprehend. Perhaps this can remind us that we are not at the center of anything.
