How are there sometimes shortcomings in our interpretations?

Our senses or our interpretations can be incorrect. Since we cannot take in all of the information from our surroundings due to our limitations as humans, we will make errors. We can make mistakes such as thinking something is a threat, when it is not, or vice versa. When we do not face threats or challenges regularly, our ability to parse what could be a threat becomes weaker and more prone to false positives. This idea is to say; when we don’t face threats, our mind makes things into a more significant risk than they are. Here we can make molehills into mountains.
