How do we reason?

There are so many opinions, and so much misinformation abound in the world, how might we reason in a sound way to determine what is most likely to be true? It seems like we should at first consider where we are getting our information and the source’s motives and funding sources. From there, logic is useful. If someone tells us that 5G is a brain control or human euthanization mechanism, then we can apply some reason and logic. Is there any evidence that this technology can control us? At what power level to cellular signals cause damage to human tissue? If we answer these questions, we fill find out both are false.
