Our Salvation

It is easy to think of a time when we perceive someone as “needy”. This scenario could be as a friend, family member, colleague, or romantically. We probably think that they need something from us. In reality, what we are perceiving is them, requiring us to be their savior. Based on a moral from Friedman’s Fables, we can see that the relationships that do best are those we make least necessary to our salvation. This concept is so much more than just being “needy” or “desperate.” This idea should not be confused with being a human and having needs. We can have requirements, and get them met without having someone have to be our savior.
