Abstract vs. Concrete
This topic is a spectrum with which I am personally enthralled. Concrete is in the here and now, a tactile experience. If there is a ball, then there is a ball. Abstract, however, is what we can potentially construct with our minds. This point is where the meaning comes into play. If there is a ball, it could be useful, such as a child’s toy, or it could be harmful, such as a musket ball impaling someone. For me, it’s fascinating to understand that some people are only capable of concrete, and that is alright. I tend toward the abstract because that is where the exciting conversations occur even if they never result in anything concrete.
