Random vs. Sequential

Some people like to do things in a sequenced order; others do not. It makes sense to me that randomness is like chaos. It sneaks into our everyday life, and if we have a manual, we can get it out, look up how to do it, and combat it sequentially. However, if we don’t have the sequence, and cannot handle chaos, then we are in trouble. It makes sense that folks who like sequential tasks, do not do well with a large amount of randomness. Bureaucracy seems like a prime example of a system that imparts sequential order onto a world of random chaos.
