/ˈstōnˌwôl/ delay or block (a request, process, or person) by refusing to answer questions or by giving evasive replies, especially in politics. Some people shut down when they become overwhelmed or do not know how to respond. This scenario can appear to be stonewalling. This idea again is not a trait in which creates an environment where communication flourishes. This action seems to be the very antithesis of communication and healthy relationships.
