Interrupting

I have been hyper-aware of this lately. I find myself and my colleagues often talking over each other. I find myself doing it when I don’t want to hear the other person or their idea because I’m either bored or think their concept is inferior in quality. I know that when someone interrupts me while I am speaking to barge through with their idea, I get irritated at best. It’s a fundamental lack of respect. I am aware when I do it, but I am working not to do it as much. There are certainly times when I want to, yet I restrain myself. I think in time with this awareness; I will continue to interrupt others less.
