Definition of a Cult
According to Google, a cult is a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object. It can also be a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister. It can also be attributed to a misplaced or excessive admiration for a particular person or thing. A last potential definition is a person or thing that is popular or fashionable, especially among a specific section of society. I present the description here because we cannot avoid what it is; we cannot define it well.
